Derek Danquah

At NKD, I’m a Marketing leader. I look after our digital presence, specialising in content marketing, and I head up our UK/EU content plan. I wear many hats in my role, so you’ll find me busy working on everything from SEO and social media films to conferences and email marketing.

Favourite learning moment

Some of my favourite learning moments have been – working with
our interns from the 10kBi programme, being a leading member of our website refresh team, and leading a conference for the first time when I was a Marketing Lead.

Shortly after I joined the Marketing team at NKD, I led our 2021 Black History Month film series. It was a project that meant a lot to me personally, and I was so proud to put it out into the world.

My experience

I have a degree in Business, it helps me to stay commercially-minded and it’s a unique attribute I bring to the Marketing team. After starting as a Business Executive at NKD, I moved into the Marketing team. I’m also a registered CIM member.

Fun fact: when I was younger, I set up a community gym where I grew up to bring people together over health and movement, two things I really care about.
